3rd July 2012 Dear All, Had a fabulous time salmon fishing in May. The River Thurso was as beautiful as ever and we saw lots of wonderful wildlife including Red deer, a Marsh Harrier, and Wheatears. Two delightful grey wagtails were making love in the Spring sunshine opposite where I was fishing. Yes, after the hailstorms and snow showers, in mid May if you please, we did get a couple of sunny days (not so good for fishing). *Breaking news* Exciting news received this week! I am going to Chengdu, China - as one of only two artists from the Sheffield region invited to visit and work there through CreativeSheffield. They are twinned with Chengdo. Two pieces of work will be exhibited at the Painting Exhibition scheduled from 11-14 September at the Pride International Conference Center along with 2012 China International Friendship Cities Conference (CIFCC).
